About Katy Welch, LPC, MA, NCC

Hi! My name is Katy Welch!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, born and raised in the Greater Houston area. I completed my master’s decree in Counseling at Sam Houston State University.

I specialize in working with adults seeking to address concerns such as anxiety, life transitions, perfectionism, self-esteem, shame, depression, stress management, and trauma. I am passionate about creating a safe, nonjudgmental environment to process your thoughts and concerns together. I value being present with you and exploring how you can utilize your strengths to overcome life’s challenges.

My therapeutic approach incorporates several counseling theories, tailored to your unique needs and concerns. I also enjoy utilizing mindfulness and self-compassion to help you reach your personal goals.

Outside of counseling, I love spending time in nature, trying new restaurants with family and friends, and going for walks and running. It’s important to me to take time to laugh, be a little goofy, and to be adventurous to keep life interesting!

I believe that we all deserve to have a space where we feel supported, encouraged, and empowered. When you feel ready to take the next step in your journey, please feel free to reach out and schedule a FREE 15-minute consultation with me. I’m very excited to get to get to know you!
